Our Mission

BGSC's mission is to raise awareness on the impact of our environment on cancer-related illnesses and those health inequities experienced by Africana women -women of African descent in the Diaspora. 

By observing the environmental impact (both negatively & positively), BGSC can openly examine the role of traditional & complementary medicine, and integrative oncology in the cancer care continuum; and explore opportunities to improve care from prevention through survivorship and end of life. 

We emphasize cultural differences, while bridging traditional, complementary, and allopathic medicine.
